An exciting new event is coming to Coudersport this summer. Eliot Ness Fest/Touched by the Untouchable is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, July 20-22, 2018. This festival will celebrate the historical legacy of Eliot Ness, who spent the final years of his life in Coudersport. His name is known far and wide as a symbol of courageous and effective law enforcement. The story of Eliot Ness and his Untouchables has been circulated around the world in print, stage and screen.
The festival has already attracted a considerable amount of attention to our community -- and that’s before we launch our marketing and promotional campaign. It promises to become a major tourist draw. All signs point to a very large turnout. Our committee has already received confirmation of attendance by groups of people from Chicago, Cleveland and other distant locations.
Local merchants, community leaders and historians have established the Eliot Ness Fest to celebrate the life and career of the crimefighter while taking Potter County back to the Prohibition Era. The weekend will be filled with prominent speakers presenting fascinating programs, character actors, lively “street theater,” a vintage car show, parade, fun events for both adults and children, and more.
You have an opportunity to capitalize on Eliot Ness Fest and help us to make its debut an outstanding success. On the attached page, you will find a detailed summary of sponsorship opportunities. Each of these offers not only some tangible benefits to you, but also a public recognition of your support for an event that is destined to become an enduring benefit to the community.
